Leaderboard

Who is best at the oldest board game in the world? These boards update live from ranked games played on this site. Ratings add up across rule sets on this page; open a rule set for its own board.

How the ratings work

Every player starts at 1200. A ranked game online moves both ratings with the Elo formula: beating a stronger opponent earns more, losing to a weaker one costs more. A rating marked ^? is provisional, the player has fewer than 10 ranked games. Games against the computer never change the rating, but a win against the God level counts on its own board, and the server replays every reported game move by move before it counts.

Ranked games need a free account (a passkey or Google, no e-mail or password). Everyone else can still play, watch and read these boards.
